Dr. Asaf Yalif earned his bachelor’s and medical degrees at the same time in one of the few programs of this kind available in the country. Once he had graduated, with honors, he proceeded to New York City where he completed his General Surgery Residency and also served as Chief Resident. While there he earned several awards for Academic Achievement and Clinical Excellence. During this time he also engaged in clinical research leading to publication in national peer reviewed journals.

From New York City Dr. Yalif traveled north to Buffalo where he continued his training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the State University of New York. In this capacity he also continued performing clinical research and honed his skills. After completing this training Dr. Yalif headed south to Memphis, Tennessee where he completed his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Tennessee. Again he served as Chief Resident while in Memphis.

Dr. Yalif then relocated to Atlanta Georgia where he initially enjoyed practicing in a group. As he became more familiar with Atlanta and its’ hospitals and patients’ Dr. Yalif decided to go into solo practice, allowing him the ability to engage in all aspects of Cosmetic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery in Atlanta.

Dr. Yalif is the founding member of Y Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is thrilled to continue to build his practice in the greater Atlanta area. He has embraced Atlanta and has taken leadership roles both in the community and at the many hospitals where he holds privileges. He served as the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at North Fulton Regional Hospital and was recently elected as the Chairman, a position he currently holds. In addition, Dr. Yalif is recognized as a leader in his field and lectures nationally on a regular basis.

Dr. Yalif specializes in Cosmetic Surgery of the Face, Breast, and Body as well as General Reconstruction and Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. He is excited to continue to provide premier level care to his patients and looks forward to continuing to provide for the greater Atlanta community.
