Surgical correction of large breasts is called reduction mammoplasty or breast reduction. Before your breast reduction surgery:

He will discuss the different incisions available, the type reduction most appropriate for you, and the pros and cons to each choice. With your input a surgical plan will be formulated that is unique to your individual circumstances.

Breast reduction surgery:

Breast Reduction surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The surgery typically takes a few hours and patients are sent home the same day. Drains are usually not used.

Breast reduction recovery:

Post Breast Reduction discomfort is managed with oral pain medication and close follow up will be performed by Dr. Yalif. No sutures have to be removed since the sutures typically will be absorbable.

Patients typically return to work 1 week after their operation and aerobic exercise can be restarted one month after surgery.
