Before your Atlanta face lift:

Dr. Yalif will examine you and discuss with you what type of facelift incision will be required to maximize your outcome. Several adjunct procedures may be discussed to see if they will benefit your surgical plan and ultimate outcome. These can include fat grafting or facial liposuction, browlift surgery, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty or even a chemical peel. Dr. Yalif will discuss the benefits of each procedure and with your input will determine your plan.

Your facelift surgery:

Face Lifts are performed under general anesthesia. Skin flaps are raised, the underlying muscles and fat are tightened, then the skin is re-draped and the extra skin is removed. The surgery typically takes 4-6 hours and patients are sent home the same day. Your face will be placed in a fluffy dressing after surgery and you will return to the clinic the day after surgery for your first follow up appointment.

Face lift recovery-

Post face lift discomfort is managed with oral pain medication and close follow up will be performed by Dr. Yalif. Sutures will be removed 5-7 days after surgery.

Patients typically return to work 1 week after their operation and aerobic exercise can be restarted one month after surgery.
