Before your neck lift:

Dr. Yalif will determine what type of neck lift you require to maximize your aesthetic outcome. There are several types of neck rejuvenation including liposuction alone, leading all the way up to a full neck lift. Some patients elect to have additional facial procedures performed at the same time as their neck lift. These most commonly include facelift, eyelid surgery, or a rhinoplasty. Dr. Yalif will meet with you, examine you,  and then discuss the advantages of each surgery and along with your input will determine your surgical plan.

Your neck lift:

Neck Lifts are performed under general anesthesia. Depending on the procedure there may be a series of small incisions around your ears and behind them as well as under your chin. Sometimes only liposuction of your neck is needed to achieve the desired results, and this can be performed with much smaller incisions. The surgery typically takes a couple of hours and patients are sent home the same day. Your neck will be placed in a fluffy dressing after your neck lift.

Neck Lift recovery:

Post surgical discomfort is managed with oral pain medication and close follow up will be performed by Dr. Yalif. Sutures will be removed 5-7 days after surgery.

Patients typically return to work 1 week after their operation and aerobic exercise can be restarted one month after surgery.
