From breast cancer to head and neck cancer, to extremity trauma there are a number of different conditions that necessitate not only a surgery to address the primary problem, i.e. the cancer or fracture, but that also require a secondary surgery to address the defect that may be left afterwards, as in a mastectomy.

Dr. Yalif is a board certified Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon well versed in reconstructive management of a number of defects. From skin cancer closures on the face, to breast reconstruction he has had extensive training and experience in managing complex situations. He is also Sub-Specialty trained and certified in Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Yalif is happy to meet with you before your primary procedure to see if both surgical procedures can be addressed at the same time (immediate reconstruction) or if it would be more beneficial to delay your reconstruction. During your consultation Dr. Yalif will meet with you and examine you and then discuss your options with you so that you may create a plan together. Dr. Yalif will also contact your primary surgeon so that a team approach can be utilized to ensure continuity of care.

Even in acute traumatic settings Dr. Yalif is comfortable assisting in your wound care, or reconstruction, while in the hospital, or assuming a role once discharged from your stay.
